Microsoft Flight Simulator is one of the most successful game and simulation series on the PC. For over 25 years, kids and adults alike have enjoyed the ability to fly on their computers in their homes, thus taking the inconvienience of paying and going out to fly out of the equation. Thanks to home flight simulators, people can enjoy a simple flight without having to pay large sums of money and going to flight school. Pilots over the years have also used these same flight simulators to get in some practice before going out and flying the real thing. Numerous companies have also entered the flight simulator market in order to get a share of the success that Microsoft has been making since the first flight simulator was released in the 80's, but today, only two flight simulators remain: X-Plane, and of course, Microsoft Flight Simulator.
